ESPRiT Press Release: Specialized Customer Event on SRM

Munich, October 31, 2008 – Yesterday, Thursday 30th October, at the Sofitel Hotel in Munich, experts from ESPRiT Consulting and SAP provided an insight into the world of procurement and supplier management. In the course of this event, they answered questions such as: What should companies watch out for in the course of an optimized catalog and content management process? What does the roadmap for the SAP purchasing solution (SAP SRM 7.0) look like, and which criteria for success are applicable for international rollout projects and purchasing organizations?

Thomas Schmid, Associate Partner at ESPRiT responsible for the service line Procurement and Logistics in Germany, declared himself well-satisfied: “Our presentations got a good reception, and we had some extremely informative discussions. The guests were delighted, and very interested in our subjects. A thoroughly successful event.”

Particular interest was created by the presentation of the SAP SRM 7.0 Roadmap. The clients couldn’t wait to find out what new features SRM 7.0 offers, and how SAP is further developing the new version. The test phase is starting in November, and it is planned that the new version will be generally available in the first half of 2009. Alongside significantly extended functions for service purchasing, the main focus for SAP is currently on process harmonization. In addition, SRM 7.0 now integrates strategic SRM and operative ERP functions even more strongly.

ESPRiT Consulting provided advice in thefield of procurement and logistics with regard to process and organization consulting, the conceptualization and implementation of KPI systems, implementations with SAP ERP, and purchasing optimization with SAP SRM.

At the end of October, the IT and management consulting firm ESPRiT had a staff of 250.
