ESPRiT press release: ESPRiT Consulting one of Bavaria’s Best 50 companies

Munich, July 2, 2008 – For the third time in recent years, the Munich-based IT and management consulting firm ESPRiT Consulting has been presented with the award “Bavaria’s Best 50”. Just as in 2004 and 2006, the consulting firm was once again able to impress the jury in 2008 with its rapid growth and creation of new jobs. On 2 July 2008, Emilia Müller, the Bavarian Minister for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport, and Technology, presented the cherished award to ESPRiT in the Kaisersaal of the Munich Residence.

ESPRiT Consulting has grown consistently at an annual rate of 20 to 25 percent over the last four years, and the company is striving to maintain this pattern of growth. The ambitious goal is to increase the staff size to 500 by the end of 2012. At the end of 2007, the IT and management consulting firm posted results showing that it had once again recorded the most successful year in the history of the company. With a staff size of 220, ESPRiT achieved total revenues of 35.5 million euro. For the current fiscal year, the consulting firm is forecasting total revenue of 42 million euro and is planning to increase the staff size to 260. Having already posted revenues of more than 10 million euro for the first quarter of 2008, these targets seem to be realistic.

Karsten Höppner is delighted: “We are proud to be receiving this award for the third time. This shows that ESPRiT has chosen to follow the right path in the long run, and that our strategy for growth is really paying off. We think that at 20 to 25 percent, we have established just the right rate of growth, so that our employees can grow with the business. We always keep our focus on people: In the end, the only thing that really counts is the success of our clients and our employees. If we get that right, then corporate success is bound to follow. Of course, it is particularly important, in this regard, to keep concentrating on the right topics.”

The awards for “Bavaria’s Best 50” were this year presented for the seventh time by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport, and Technology. The award honours top corporate performers, and is supposed to inspire other companies to achieve similar success. Receiving the award provides recognition for the companies distinguished, and at the same time encourages start-ups and SMEs in Bavaria to follow the same path.
