MUNICH, May 29, 2008 – The first quarter of 2008 turned out to be extremely successful for the IT and management consulting firm ESPRiT Consulting. With total revenue of 10.2 million euro, ESPRiT was able to pick up exactly where it left off at the end of 2007. This represents year-on-year growth of 44 percent compared to the same period the year before. This upward trend has now been maintained for the last four years: Since 2004, ESPRiT has grown in terms of revenue from 14 million to 36 million euros (to the end of 2007). For 2008, the forecast is for total revenue of 42 million euro. There has also been impressive growth in the number of employees: ESPRiT is targeting a staff size of 260 by the end of the year.
Karsten Höppner, the CEO of ESPRiT Consulting, comments: “Our positive revenue development shows that with our consulting specializations of IT management and integration, corporate controlling, and customer and supplier management, we are able to cover exactly the areas in which our clients have strong demand. As a partner-run consulting firm, we are able to react to new developments in the market more quickly and flexibly than other firms, and that gives us a strategic edge.”
The strong growth can be attributed especially to addition project contracts that have been won with existing clients. ESPRiT’s existing clients include, amongst others: ABB, Allianz, ALSTOM, BMW, Hanover Re, Infineon Technologies, Linde, Lufthansa, MAN, Max Planck Society, Mobilkom Austria, Munich Re, Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB), Siemens, Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), Swiss Post, and Swisscom.
In the field of customer management, ESPRiT has once again been designated as a Special Expertise Partner CRM by SAP. On June 5, the IT and management consulting firm is planning a specialized customer event with the slogan: “Customer-oriented solutions for customer-oriented enterprises.”
Another specialized customer event will take place on 18 June on the subject of “Financial performance management – taking the ideal line to the target”. Experts from ESPRiT and SAP will use user reports and specialized presentations to give the participants an insight into the fields of reporting, planning, and consolidation.
The IT and management consulting firm is also continuing to maintain its social commitments: On July 5, the fourth Day of Care will take place. This year ESPRiT is organizing a soccer tournament with the initiative buntkicktgut (street soccer league), which uses sport to offer better social prospects to young people from various different cultural backgrounds.
