armasuisse is the procurement, technology and real estate center for the Swiss Federal Department of Defense, Civil Protection and Sport (VBS). armasuisse is in contact with numerous domestic and foreign suppliers, and until now, various different media (electronic and paper) have been used for the supplier enquiry process.

To depict the procurement process in a more transparent way, armasuisse has implemented its supplier enquiry process electronically in SAP. The goal was to eliminate media discontinuities between the purchase requisition and the purchase order. The entire procurement process will now be supported electronically so that it is completely traceable and 100% transparent. By systematically processing offers and enquiries, it is also possible to ensure standardized recording and reporting.

With this system-based process management, processes are managed more efficiently, processing times are reduced, and the quality of data is massively increased. All order data, including offer and enquiry data, is now available electronically, and can be viewed by all authorized persons. In addition, communication with suppliers has been improved and simplified through the standardization and channeling of information.

ESPRiT was able to utilize its extensive experience in the field of procurement to provide armasuisse with optimal support, accompanying the project from the concept right through to the final implementation.
