On June 29, 2009 ESPRiT Switzerland, together with SAP (Switzerland) AG, held the experience exchange “Using IT for More Added Value in Purchasing”. In the course of this event, purchasing managers from leading Swiss companies discussed the following questions:
- Which procurement concepts are future-oriented?
- How can an existing SAP system be used optimally to realize potential cost reductions in purchasing both quickly and sustainably?
- What new options can SAP provide for this purpose?
Parallel to this discussion, the guests were also able to profit from the live demonstrations on the subjects of SRM 7.0, procurement of services, central contract management, and electronic invoice processing.
Mario Wissel, an Associate Partner at ESPRiT, chaired the discussion together with Christian Weigle from SAP Switzerland. “At this event, we have deliberately focused purely on an exchange of experiences in a small group in a relaxed atmosphere. The positive feedback we have received from the guests has shown us that we really tapped the pulse of the moment with this new platform. The Swiss purchasing managers were able to profit from the personal exchange of experiences, and gained new stimulus for their own purchasing strategy,” explained Wissel in summary.
We are delighted to provide interested clients with an individual workshop on this subject. If you have any further questions about the event, please get in touch with Thomas Münger or Mario Wissel.
